Achievement / Learning Disorder Testing

Achievement, learning disorder, and dyslexia testing is not covered by insurance and is always billed as an out-of-pocket expense regardless of your insurance plan. This is a flat fee that covers the full testing panel.

*Prior authorization requirements are determined by your insurance company. Some plans require pre-approval before psychological testing. Athena Care will assist with the prior authorization process, but coverage is ultimately determined by your insurer.

An initial intake consultation is required before testing begins. This session is where your psychologist will determine the specific tests needed for your evaluation.
The complete testing process — from your initial intake interview through testing sessions to your results feedback appointment — typically takes 2 to 6 months depending on the tests ordered and the office location chosen.
Achievement, learning disorder, and dyslexia testing is not covered by insurance and is always billed at a flat rate of $650 out-of-pocket.
